The Sokoke breed is characterized by a tabby coat color pattern and very mild temperament. However, these animals do retain the independence, self-assuredness, and intelligence of wild animals. They are very pack-oriented, and, most interesting, they are excellent swimmers and some species have webbed paws!

These felines were imported to Denmark in the 1980s, and they originated in the Sokoke forest of Kenia, which is utterly destroyed nowadays. Therefore, these animals are extinct in the wild and belong to one of the rarest breeds in the world.
